		<description>Chris:

Well, thanks to your encouragement to &quot;get with it,&quot; I&#039;ve finally made my first video! Now all I have to do is figure a way to subtitle it. Then it&#039;ll be posted by the end of the week!

Thanks.

		<description>Chris:

You could very well be right that I&#039;m putting too much thought into it and not enough spontaneity. Good point. I&#039;m willing to concede to that possiblity.

Thanks for the links. I&#039;ll check them out and you&#039;ll see how I do when I start posting video logs at my blog.

Enjoy your Superbowl today - if you&#039;re watching.

		<description>Chris:

Thanks for the list on how to do a video post but I need more than that.

For instance, what camcorder works best? Which brand? How many megapixels? Which one is specifically geared towards helping the user learn how to download a video to a computer and then compress it? You know, all the technical details?

What you gave was fine but I need more than that. Step by step. Hold the technical neophyte by the hand and show from start to finish how it is done. I&#039;m surprised there isn&#039;t anything out there that&#039;s as detailed as I want it to be.

Any ideas anyone? Trying to start a coversation here.

		<description>Hi Stephen,

I want to post more, because I have so much to say. It just seems that because of all the other &quot;stuff&quot;, my chance to vent, rant and hopefully inspire others gets pushed to the end of the &quot;to do&quot; list.

About your question. I guess the easiest way to do a video post would be to:
1. purhcase a video camera - if you are only going to be using it for web use, then the image quality does not need to be that good.
2. film yourself
3. if you want to save money, you can edit your video with Window Movie Maker (it is probably installed on your computer - if you have a pc). Though its features are limited, they will be sufficient for the basics.
4. create a youtube account.
5. upload your video to youtube
6. write your intro
7. embed your youtube video (copy and paste the code where you want it to appear) You will need to turn off the visually rich text editor for this step.
8. This will work for occasional postings. If you want to do it regularly, then I would do a little more research into your options.

Anyone else have an idea?</description>

		<description>Chris:

When you do post, it is always appreciated. Thanks for the link love above!

This is your blog, your home, your public platform and therefore you set the agenda, the schedule. If it works for you to post a certain number of times a week or a month, then that&#039;s what you have to offer at the time. No apology necessary - there are subscribers like me to love you no matter what. When it&#039;s time to get new information from you, it&#039;ll show up in my inbox! :)

On another note, I&#039;m posting this as a question for you and your subscriber base. Does anyone know of times on how to make a video post? I&#039;m contemplating my first video post but do not know all the technical details of how to make one. Don&#039;t know what equipment to use/buy, software and don&#039;t know the step by step instructions.

Any ideas?
