What’s Standing in the Way of Your Success?

Stop Bitching, Moaning, Whining and Complaining

Don’t you get tired of people whining -

  • about how hard their life is?
  • about how much everything costs?
  • about what the government is doing?
  • about how badly they are being treated?
  • blah, blah, blah

I’m sick of it.  If you don’t like what’s going on, then here’s a thought – take the initiative and “do something” about it.  Yes, this will require action on your part, but think of the calories you’ll burn in the process.

Ross Training – Plenty of Motivation

If you need a little motivation then watch this great video that I found at Ross Training.  Thanks Ross

Videos like that definitely remind us that many of our limitations truly are in our mind.

Recently I stumbled upon Stash Serafin – he’s the worlds first blind figure skater… and he does shows with Olympic athletes and other famous skaters.

He’s also a delightfully positive and inspiring person… he has a couple videos, I think on YouTube, worth checking out.

There is basically no limit to what a person can do. Motivation, inspiration and perspiration. Those are the keys.

Chris – thanks for the heads up on Stash. I’ll check out his videos – thanks for stopping by.

Bartolomo – you’re right! Perspiration is definitely required. Good call. Thanks for visiting soupornuts.com

This is great. I love watching someone who obviously has it worse than everyone else and rises above and succeeds no matter what. Mark (the man from the video) doesn’t complain, doesn’t feel sorry for himself, he just lives; lives exceptionally considering his situation and it is and should be an inspiration to us all to not give up when times are rough.

I have an article on my website which discusses an incident where I met someone who had desires of forming a business. I saw him again and he had done little in that short period. Just goes to show that many people will talk the talk but can’t walk the walk.

Talking is easy – just open your mouth and the words flow. Commitment takes effort, planning and following through.

There’s always a big difference in what is talked about and what is accomplished.

I seriously hate whiners, complainers, etc. There are too many of those people especially because of the recession. So many people use recession as an excuse of their failure. Add up all the time that these people are complaining, they could have accomplished something meaningful.

Kai, I couldn’t agree more. Sometimes you have to “shut up” and “get up” and do something to make the situation better.
